The day brought a slew of peaceful protests around the country, but Dallas has made the headlines. Snipers took to the rooftops to shoot at the police in protest to the violence that a few bad cops have displayed. Yes, you read that right. The snipers protested violence with more violence. So, far at 12 am EST 11 police shot, 4 dead, and one civilian wounded.

I went for a peaceful night swim in my pool in Florida to relax with my kid for the evening. When I emerged from the pool, I wasn’t expecting to see snipers shooting in Dallas. Reports of 60 shots were made while the crowds of people were chanting “Please don’t shoot!”
The angle that the journalists jumped on were that the snipers were going after the cops, that might be true, but with a crowd like that and amateur shooters, they couldn’t think they were just going to hit cops. They mostly did. That fact made me wonder. A crowd of that size and the sniper(s) hit just the cops with a mass hysteria of men and women running around? Sounds interesting I thought.
I sat watching Alex Boyer of Fox News running around the scene. One man, Jammal saw the bullets bouncing off the street. Jammal knew it was a high caliber and from above. The cops according to Jammal, pointed their guns at the protesters who were taking on fire themselves and they put their peaceful hands up quickly. The scene on the television seemed to be chaos. As people tried to figure out what was going on. It kept my heart racing and my empathy strong, wishing I was there with my boots on the ground. As I stayed glued to the television I kept wondering how I was going to get a report myself.
I kept glued to the television as they started running the death toll. “Two cops are dead,” rang out on the boob tube. As I kept speaking with my Editor Doc Jeffurious Higgason the death toll kept climbing quickly. Doc had beaten Fox and CNN to the punch on social media, reporting about the shooting. “I beat them to social media! We are the first, but nobody will know,” Doc typed with a sad faced emoticon.
“You’re probably right.”
“Fuck Alex Boyer!” Doc typed angrily at me during the commotion.
The cops went on bloodhound mode in the background of the television. The news confirmed that there was a rumored bomb that the Dallas Police were looking as they kept everyone out of the area. The television came on louder, “The count has come in,” the reporter claimed. “Four dead, 11 shot, and one civilian is wounded.”
The count on the cops got bigger with hardly a civilian getting hurt making me wonder if this wasn’t a professional sniper. This is something that the mainstream media wasn’t talking about during the scene. “Domestic Terrorists,” the phrase rang out from the television. All I could think is that this was the steppingstone to amending our 1st Amendment. I thought to myself, this is the door that opens to kill freedom of speech along with guns.
The police got a young black man with camouflage on. They reported that it was one of the shooters. Then they confused it and said that the man wasn’t in custody. Then Fox News stated that they had nobody. After about three minutes they had the man again and he wasn’t a shooter.
I sat back and threw my shoe at the television, “What in the actual loving Hell?!? What do you know Fox News?!?”
I jumped back on to texting my Editor in Chief Doc, “I’ve got an idea. I’m going to find a Dallas number and call it. Hopefully I will get someone from the protests.”
“Yes!”
“Totally out of the box! I’m doing it.”
“Do it. I am ready to publish this puppy. Hahahaha!”
I went and found white pages on Google. I called the first number and got a very angry Texas boy who simply told me where I could stick my own head. I called a second person who gave me directions to finding my own penis. I love Texas, very colorful people.
It took me about 15 calls, but I found a man. The man’s name was James Callaway. Callaway was a very well spoken man who was on the scene during the shooting.
“Nothing!” he said very adamantly. “There was nothing. Nobody was doing anything but having a peaceful protest. There was no violence, there were no punches thrown, and it just got ugly.”
“So, what exactly happened? What did you see?”
Callaway paused on the phone with me sounding like he was holding back crying. “I saw the officers get shot in the back. I saw the bullets ricochet off of the ground and people, including myself running. It was just not right. People were starting to leave so this was definitely a planned shooting. Whoever the shooter or shooters are had this planned.”
“What makes you think it was more than one shooter?”
“The amount of shots. It just doesn’t seem like it could have been just one person. Plus my boy Ghalen overheard one of the cops say it.”
As I was on the phone with Callaway the update came through stating that the threat was over; they have the gunmen in custody. The bomb squad was called in to check into a suspicious package.
There was also a report during the editing of this article stating from David O Brown, Dallas Police Chief that one suspect said that, “The end is near,” claiming that there are more bombs around the Dallas area downtown.
Stay tuned for more!
