Something Old, Something New

By Donnie Casto II

Recently a news story made the headlines on my news feed. The picture shows a high boot torture device, designed to crush the foot or the leg (not the genitals) of its intended victim, with the catchy headline “Oklahoma’s New Law To Punish Sex Offenders Has Many Of Them Fearing For Their Life”. The proposed law in question, OK Senate Bill 671, would have made chemical castration for violent sex offenders an option in exchange for early parole and involuntarily for other sex offenders.  The bill, which was authored by Sen. Mark Allen, R-Spiro, and Rep. John Bennett, R-Sallisaw, received little discussion in the Oklahoma Senate and failed to pass out of the Oklahoma Senate Judiciary Committee by a 4-5 vote. The last date regarding this ‘recent’ news story was February 24th of this year.

The headline and the photograph used are utter bullshit, due to the evident fact the proposed law in question isn’t even a law per se. Secondly, the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution makes cruel and unusual punishment, including torture, (a wink and a nod to the Dick Cheney supporters of the world) unconstitutional. Gotcha headlines and photos depicting torture devices obscure the actual substance of the story. The issue does pose legal and ethical questions though.

In tackling this subject dealing with sex offenders let’s first agree for the sake of debate that the term ‘sex offender’ has become a pretty broad term in definition. For example, here in Columbus, Ohio, any adult busted by the police soliciting a prostitute is automatically registered in the Franklin County Sex Offender database. The subject of this story that the Troubadour wishes to focus on isn’t the personal choices of two consenting adults. This isn’t about a 16 or a 17 year old who lied about being 18 to have intimate consensual relations with a 20 something year old either.

It’s the sick fucks from organizations like NAMBLA or the assholes from the Dateline NBC investigations made famous by Chris Hansen that I’m specifically speaking about and speaking to. I hope they read this and I hope these words strike an element of fear into their warped and perverted minds! I particularly hope once the facts regarding the types of sex offenders we are discussing are made clear, and the opinion that each and every one of these child sodomites should be dirt-napped without prison or chemical castration is made clear, that we really begin to have an adult discussion on how to eliminate these vile pieces of walking excrement from society.

According to an article in a July 2010 Harvard University publication, pedophilia is defined as “the sexual attraction to children who have not yet reached puberty”. Broken down in even broader terms it’s also referred to as “pedohebephilia, which would consist of the pedophilic type (attracted to prepubescent children, generally younger than 11), the hebephilic type (attracted to pubescent children, usually ages 11 through 14), and the pedohebephilic type (attracted to both).” The Harvard Health study also concludes that pedophilia is a “sexual orientation” and unlikely to change. Treatment for this condition only aims to enable a pedophile to resist acting on his sexual urges. It does not provide a cure. The use of pornography related to such children for six months or longer is one indication of a pedophile.

According to the website Parents for Megan’s Law, the following statistics should raise further alarm and awareness for the need of some kind of proactive measures regarding child molesters and rapist:

-One in three girls and one in six boys are sexually abused before the age of 18.

-One in six boys is sexually abused before the age of 18.

-Many child sexual abuse victims never disclose their abuse to anyone. Less than 10% of child sexual abuse is reported to the police.<

-Children are most vulnerable between ages 8 -12.

-29% of all forcible rapes occurred when the victim was under 11 years old

-15% of sexual assault and rape victims are under the age of 12.

-44% of sexual assault and rape victims are under age 18.

-Children with disabilities are 4 to 10 times more vulnerable to sexual abuse than their non-disabled peers.

-Nearly 30% of child sexual assault victims identified by child protective service agencies were between 4 and 7 years of age.

-93% of juvenile sexual assault victims know their attacker, 34.2% of attackers were family members and 58.7% were acquaintances and only 7% of the perpetrators were strangers to the victim.

-Nearly 50 % of all the victims of forcible sodomy, sexual assault with an object, and forcible fondling are children under the age of 12.

The procedure of chemical castration is not the same as surgical castration, also known as a gonadectomy, in which the male loses one or both testicles. Chemical castration is a monthly injection of a testosterone-lowering drug, commonly Depo-Lupron (leuprolide), which is used to treat prostate cancer but can also lower the intensity of sexual urges. A January 2013 article in The Guardian states that this method is currently used in several US states and an increasing number of countries, including Britain, Poland, Russia, Germany and Sweden.

Criminals necessarily forfeit some rights to freedom, but sex offenders up for parole in states which offer chemical castration are forced to accept medical treatment or return to jail. In California, Michigan and Florida taking chemical castration is a mandatory condition of release for repeat offenders and for particularly violent first time sex offenders. If prisoners choose not to undergo the treatment, they can opt for either surgical castration or life imprisonment. Some opposed to this form of eugenic sterilization cite their opposition to it mainly because of an association with the massive human rights violations perpetrated by the Nazis.

While the author wouldn’t argue or dispute such atrocities were done by the Nazis on the basis of  race, religion or mental development, chemical castration does not herald the rise of the up and coming Fourth Reich. Nor are we prepping firing squads and internment camps for the elderly and developmentally disabled, or cold-bloodedly murdering individuals on the basis of their religion. We are discussing an element of society whose addiction and thrills involve the violent rape, molestation, and sodomy of underage children.  It is an acknowledged sexual orientation which psycho science and the medical community can not cure. Would you be comfortable in having a known sex offender living beside your home, your apartment complex, or present at the playground where your underage children play? Those opposed to the use of chemical castration also have used the term of cruel and unusual punishment in giving these sex offenders the choice of chemical castration in exchange for early parole.  One question that the Troubadour poses: isn’t the violent act of an adult molesting, raping, or sodomizing an underage child cruel and unusual punishment?  Chemical castration is not the alleged Obamacare death panels out to kill Grandma and it’s certainly not a “slippery slope” to Hitler eugenics as some social liberals contend.

So knowing the statistics and the facts from the medical community,  the long term effects on victims and their families, and the dangers sex offenders pose to society as a whole: what then are we left with?

Chrystine Oksana, author of Safe Passage to Healing: A Guide for Survivors of Ritual Abuse states the following:

“Violators cannot live with the truth: survivors cannot live without it. There are those who still, once again, are poised to invalidate and deny us. If we don’t assert our truth, it may again be relegated to fantasy. But the truth won’t go away. It will keep surfacing until it is recognized. Truth will outlast any campaigns mounted against it, no matter how mighty, clever, or long. It is invincible. It’s only a matter of which generation is willing to face it and, in so doing, protect future generations from ritual abuse.”

Children, particularly underage children, have been the silent victims for hundreds of years or more of human beings who are simply predators. These predators can’t be bargained or reasoned with. They have one goal and one ambition: to satisfy their perverted and violent sexual urges. While some would say prison is  ‘punishment’ most sex offenders typically are kept away from the general population to guard and protect them from harassment, physical injury, rape and murder committed by other prisoners who typically look at pedophiles with disgust. In some regards, perhaps there is some honor amongst thieves. This additional protection of prisoners, who have committed sex crimes, can typically result in limited access to prison facilities and feelings of fear. As long as the offender remains incarcerated is the only guarantee that they will not commit another violent act against an underage child.

Most states require violent sex offenders to register upon release from prison. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children there are currently 728,435 registered sex offenders in the United States, with an estimated 100,000 of those completely off the grid or map. They simply have disappeared, and no one in the law enforcement community knows where these individuals are.

In examining these facts there is but one conclusion that the Dark Troubadour can come to in dealing with violent underage sex offenders. . . you simply kill them all! That’s right folks, let me repeat it again.

The only guaranteed way to deal with a violent underage sex offender who goes out of their way to indulge in an act of molestation, rape or sodomy of underage children is to dirt nap each and every one of these bastards.

But wait, aren’t you a civil libertarian? Don’t you believe in individual rights and liberty? The great Roman orator Marcus Tullius Cicero once stated “Civilized people are taught by logic, barbarians by necessity, communities by tradition; and the lesson is inculcated even in wild beasts by nature itself. They learn that they have to defend their own bodies and persons and lives from violence of any and every kind by all the means within their power.”  Liberty at its core essence requires that people should be left alone to do what they want, unless that turns out to reduce the equal liberty of others or otherwise cause them harm. The fundamental concept of liberty itself depends upon a conception of individuals as masters of themselves who govern thier acts within boundaries of moral and ethical limitations.

If we as individuals capable of self governance didn’t hold this self evident belief, liberty simply wouldn’t be worth having. There are cases where people do not seem to be properly exercising the responsibility of being masters of themselves or respecting the rights and liberties of others. If some peoples’ brains and natures are so wired that they are prone to sexually abuse underage children, and they can’t be cured or prevented from this abhorrent act, it is ethical to presume that they have to be held accountable for their actions.

As I have often openly stated to members of Gonzo Today, I am a parent of a child who was victimized by such a predator. It is a nightmare that I wouldn’t welcome or wish on any other human being in society.

This individual was a family member, and upon further investigation I learned this individual had been suspected multiple otimes of molesting other underage children including his own step-children from a prior marriage. The emotional and mental toll that my child and my immediate family have had to endure from this has been nothing short of hell. And maybe based on this knowledge some of you potential pedophiles who read this are thankful that I am not in a position to dictate criminal law and punishment for said offenses.

Simply put, at the end of the day if you want to eliminate the problem of underage sex offenders, you eliminate the source of it. Shame on you Oklahoma for not taking a proactive step in eliminating these predators and shame on a society which would grant such vile pieces of shit the right of liberty that they cannot and will not ever be able to exercise.
