GonzoFest Louisville to Throw Gonzo Art Party at Revelry Boutique Gallery

GonzoFest Louisville, in collaboration with Revelry Boutique Gallery, is throwing a Gonzo Art Party in effort to raise funds for GonzoFest Louisville 2015.

British artist and illustrator, Ralph Steadman was a long-time friend of Hunter S. Thompson. Steadman partnered with Thompson drawing illustrations for several of Thompson’s articles and books, and has provided art for GonzoFest 2015. Grant Goodwine, one of two Official GonzoFest Louisville 2015 artists, has created a limited edition print for this year’s festival. Goodwine’s signed prints be will be for sale, and Goodwine will also auction off the original 23” x 31” framed and signed painting.

A portion of the sales will benefit GonzoFest Louisville. Additionally, live art by Goodwine, West Sixth Brewing Beer, wine by Old 502 Winery, hor d’oeuvres from The Café and live music will be featured at the event.

Lastly, don’t miss your chance to purchase GonzoFest Louisville 2015 tickets for the discounted price of only $10!

In 2014, GonzoFest Louisville succeeded with the help of many partners to commemorate Thompson with his own “Hunter’s Gonzoville” banner now displayed on Bardstown Road on the Bristol Bar and Grill building. This year the GonzoFest Louisville team hopes to continue the tradition with a Hunter S. Thompson bronze statue created by a local sculptor, Matthew Weir and permanently displayed in Thompson’s hometown of Louisville.

Whether you’re a fan of Hunter S. Thompson Ralph Steadman, an art-lover, or simply interested in having a Gonzo-good time, the Gonzo Art Party is for all! There is no cost to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated.

Join us on Friday, March 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Where: Revelry Boutique Gallery in the heart of NULU, 742 E. Market Street Louisville, KY 40202
