Mark Linnhoefer – On the 10th of January 2013, four young people – Joshua Miner (24), his girlfriend Alisa Massaro (18) and their two friends Adrian Landerman (19) and Bethany McKee (18) – from Joliet reportedly kidnapped and killed two young men – Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, both 22. New intel now confirms that at least two of the teens then went on to have sex on top of the dead bodies.
McKee initially invited the two victims over by promising “sex and video games”. According to Joshua Miner, the foursome’s initial plan was to rob Rankins and Glover as the teens believed that the two of them carried “a lot of money” – later defined as a measly $100. When the two men arrived at Massaro’s house, the four overpowered and strangled them. Once that was done, they hog-tied the pair and apparently tried to dismember them. Miner, who remembered that his girlfriend told him “years back that she wanted to have sex with a dead guy” put the bodies together during the night and covered them with some sort of beige blanket so that he and Massaro could have sex on them. McKee did not want to witness that scene and left but says that it is possible that Landerman joined the deranged lovers.
According to reports, Miner was the leading figure in the entire happening, and the other three just sort of went along with it.
When local police arrived to arrest Miner, Massaro and Landerman, they were “very much surprised” according to the authorities. McKee had already left the house but was arrested shortly after in Kankakee.
Police officers describe the crime as one the most “heinous, brutal, and upsetting things” they had ever seen. The key point not necessarily being the crime in itself, but the complete lack of respect for other humans the four killers exhibited. The families of both the victims and the attackers are in shock and disbelief. Only Miner’s mother clings to the illusion that her son could not have done something like this. The mother of deceased Rankins calls the act “demonic”.
McKee and Miner have already been convicted to a life sentence for first-degree murder. Landerman and Massaro are still in jail awaiting trial.
Landerman’s mother is a police officer but will not have any influence on the case, say authorities. Judge Pelkie declined comment – as did McKee and Landerman – on the crime itself, but raised the issue of race as the two victims were black and all four accused were white, although he deems it unlikely that that had anything to do with the murders.
Drugs could also have played a part in the crime, according to local authorities, but no such thing has been confirmed as of yet.
This reporter would like to add on a personal note that this is the kind of crime that has liberals begging for the death penalty and conservatives for Planned Parenthood – it is incomprehensible how little empathy human beings can have, and this reporter certainly hopes that these individuals will never make bail and rot in their cells until they die, preferably of prison rape.
