GonzoFest 2016 Preview: Chrome Pony

The Nashville based Prog-rock band Chrome Pony has played everything from small clubs to Bonnaroo in 2015 and now will be playing at GonzoFest 2016. The Indiana natives will be bringing their interesting blend of music to the fest on April 16.

The band is comprised of brothers Tyler (vocals and guitar) and Kyle Davis (drums) along with Ric Alessio on the organ and Jota Ese holding down the bass guitar.

The band is essentially a mix of many influences that range from good old rock-n-roll to the psycho sixties and even a twinge of country splashed around the blasting garage rock and punk that fuels the engines.

Chrome Pony just released their album Past Lives in February of 2016 – you can hear their track, Ragged Child, on the Chrome Pony bandcamp page. This is the fourth release from the eclectic foursome. Their first release was back in 2011 with Illegal Smiles.
