Kidman J. Williams – It appears that Axl Rose and Slash have finally mended fences after two decades of hatred. Slash left the band back in 1996. Now he has admitted to Aftonbladet, a Swedish Music magazine.
Slash said in the interview:
“It was probably way overdue you know. But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative…dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
He was asked by CBS This Morning back in May about a Guns N’ Roses reunion at some point. He said that, “It might be fun at some point to try and do that.”
According to Slash in May they started to reconcile their respective differences. Slash had said that:
“We don’t have all those issues anymore. There’s not a lot of controversy. It’s something that’s more perpetuated by the media than anything.”
There is no confirmation of a Guns N’ Roses reunion at this point. With that being said, I have to report that after the reconciliation, the current replacement members of GNR have quietly left the band.
Does that scream reunion? I think we all hope it does.
Here is this journalists prediction:
There will be a big reunion show somewhere significant like The Greek or maybe The Whiskey. Then a reunion tour will follow that. Then the success of the those shows will give fans a “Chinese Democracy” that the people can be proud of. It will probably be something closer to Appetite than Use Your Illusion I & II.
