pizza burgers
my young
and sometimes
girlfriend
has a thing
for pizza burgers
at the daisy queen
up in marshall
my Ex
is dripping venom
hot grease
and sizzle
butchered hearts
on the grill
she screams
she prays
that we die
in a car wreck
tonight
her words
smoke and bleed
I flip them over

The ban
on poetry
is lifted
It’s a return
for the demented
the unhinged
the gifted
let the madness reign
and shine on
like crazy diamond
shaped meteors
verse without limits
was Gonzo’s intention
the creative urge
for symmetry
and perfection
the canvas laid bare
in consternation
awaiting a voice
the next generation
and scribe we must
graffiti on a wall
summons the demon
answer the call
decadent and depraved
from the first to the last
our true colors
pinned to the mast
-Martin James
Do you know there’s
a miraculous medicine,
to ease the pain for,
and even cure
cancer patients.
Instead of spreading
this astonishing news,
the message is hidden and blocked.
While it should be a mighty
world’s announcement!
Why?
Because it’s a well-known
pharmaceutical, who’s patent
already expired.
No big money though,
not interesting
for the Pharma Mafia.
Who seem to rule,
not only specialist physicians,
but also governments
by their generous bribery.
-Daginne Aignend
Collapsing blades of grass bristle along
Angry Houston summer roads
Whose dancing highway mirrors
Rise in heat patterns from the asphalt
In the colors of a fish’s scale
And the air seems to collide around you
When the window is rolled down
Just long enough to discard a cigarette
Ashes trailing tiny orange comets in your wake
Circle back again, turn-signals, fat flying Junebug, don’t let them in
There is a language between the barrier
Which is often written
But cannot be spoken
For reasons far too ancient, far too vicious, to delineate here/now
I may run out of gas
Pull over into a wasteland Texaco
As you drive on toward infinity alone
But I will never run out of words
It doesn’t matter
Where I end up
So I turn
The air conditioning
Off
So that I might
Feel
The
Sun
