my friend david minton ran into
the pool room bloody beaten yelling
we all turned and together said
what the hell
david said a car load
of townies beat me up
i said let’s go
what are they driving
i asked as i picked up a brick
a rusted red camaro
he said here it comes
loud muffler belching
going too fast
i stepped into the street
i threw my brick through their windshield
