Whew!!! If you haven’t already its time to bite the Bulleit and buy a bottle of this fantastic budget bourbon.
If your standards are competitors like Buffalo Trace or Maker’s Mark this one will feel right at home on your bar.
Its a bolder whiskey to my taste, but then my taste faded when I burned out all of my taste-buds drinking moonshine with the local outlaws and it has never been the same since. A little bitter and you can definitely taste the wood but neither of those are bad things and its an all around crowd pleaser in my experience.
It is very reasonably priced for the quality, but falls second in line to its big brother Bulleit 10 which certainly takes the quality up a notch. Nevertheless, this is another whiskey you can’t go wrong with on a budget.
